Robert Van Tuyl is the Chief Innovation Officer of Easterseals Bay Area. As an executive leader at Easterseals Bay Area, Robert has been instrumental to the organization’s eightfold growth since he joined in 2012. Under his business and technical leadership, Robert has transformed the organization into an agile, data-driven enterprise supported by a HIPAA compliant integrated cloud-based infrastructure. Prior to joining Easterseals, Robert co-founded Gemstone Global Services, a successful technology consulting firm that he helped propel from an idea to a multi-million dollar business. He was also a founding member of biometric-based mobile payments and loyalty company, Pay By Touch. As the company’s VP of enterprise technology and architecture, he oversaw the engineering and product development teams. In five years, the company grew from four to 700 employees.

Robert started his career as a senior manager and consultant at Accenture where, for nearly 10 years, he worked on multiple large-scale enterprise system integration projects for Fortune 500 clients, such as AT&T, PG&E, Fidelity Investments, Sun Microsystems, Netscape, and Infocus.

Robert is fluent in Dutch and received a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the The Hague University of Applied Sciences in The Netherlands.

What’s New with ABA at Easterseals Bay Area?

Since October of this year, we’ve been enrolling clients between 4- and 18-years-old in our social skills groups at our clinics around the Bay Area. Clients participate in small groups led by our applied behavior analysis (ABA) Supervisors who teach and reinforce social skills development with a focus on STEAM areas (science, technology, engineering, art, and math).
