Kaleidoscope is a Community Adult Program based in Dublin, Calif. that offers specific programming for adults with special needs. These services help adults integrate into the community, including employment readiness and development, independent living skills, community inclusion, socialization, and many other beneficial activities.
Life Skill Coaches and Interest-Based Programming
Participants work with life skill coaches who help them pursue interests by assigning exercises and helping them define their goals and become as independent as possible. Interest-based programming offered at Kaleidoscope includes:
- Community Access
- Recreation & Leisure
- Physical Fitness
- Life Skills
For adults with special needs, finding a job is a critical first step toward self-determination and financial independence. Through Kaleidoscope’s employment planning services, coaches help participants with:
- career exploration and development;
- employment opportunities within a community; and
- skills, education, and training needed to meet employment goals.
WHAT ARE THE GOALS?
The program aims to increase participants’ ability to care for themselves, self-advocacy, and quality of life for themselves and their families, as well as help adults reach their employment goals, gain greater integration into their community, and achieve more independence in their lives.
