Kaleidoscope: Our Cutting-Edge After-School Program
Kaleidoscope provides comprehensive services to individuals affected with autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and other disabilities. These services include after-school programs, summer programs, employment readiness and development, independent living skills, sports opportunities, community inclusion, socialization, and many other beneficial activities.
Kaleidoscope has been providing services to the Dublin community for more than 30 years. We are currently the only program that offers after-school services for youth living with disability in the Tri-Valley Area. Without our program, participants would miss out on learning a multitude of important skills that are designed to facilitate the transition from childhood to independent living as a young adult. Our program also provides much needed care, as most of the participants are not candidates for after-school care in the public school setting due to their special requirements.
Kaleidoscope currently has three groups operating on a daily basis: the Youth Group (ages 5-12), the Teen Group (ages 13-17), and the Community Integration Group (ages 18-22). Within these groups, the participants engage in activities, games, and community outings in a safe, caring, and accepting environment while parents, guardians, or home providers are able to work, run errands, attend meetings or appointments or spend time with their other children.
More details on each group is below.
- Community Integration Group - ages 18-22
- Teen Group - ages 13-17
- Youth Group - ages 5-12
